i have had nothing but trouble with geko direct over a phone package with orange,has anyone else -if so what can i do.

Geko Direct are a complete sham of a company. They make money from innocent people who are enticed into a deal where promises are made and never fullfilled. I am still waiting for a termination fee reimbursement of over £500. It has now been 3 and a half months and still nothing. The latest email this morning told me of how the MD missed the appointment to sign off my reimbursement and I will now have to wait 6 weeks for the next available meeting. NO-ONE SHOULD DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I am in talks with my solicitor and will post another thread in due course.

Hello - wish I had read this sooner. They took money off my credit card to pay off a contract that in fact didn't need paying off. Won't return emails or phone calls. Orange won't let me cancel and keep referring me back to Geko.

You need to establish who the contract is with. Ask Orange what he earliest date for termination is, this will give you something to work to if Orange still believe you are their customer (and not Geko).

To all others, I am having big trouble with geko as well. 6 months into a contract and no payments from them. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!!! They are (or at least are a close approximation to) shysters!!!!!!!!

Appauling and avoid at all costs! Harsh? I don't think so. This is my first ever complaint to a company. Normally I let them get away with it but not now. Firstly, when Geko sold me the phone/package I was told at the time they would pay my existing mobile provider (T-mobile)to terminate the contract with them. Ok, so after I recieved the phone/contract etc.. Geko's T&C's stated that no re-imbursement would be made (unless a VAT invoice was recieved within 30 days - which I sent them)and for an additional 120 days after date of connection. This I found strange but waited for 120 days to pass.

120 days expiered in November and it is now 25th January. NO re-imbursement has been made. NO contact has been made with me. I ring them every other day (literally) and they keep saying "nobody in finance department, they will call you back" or "please email our directors". WTF??? Where is my money!!! I WILL be filing for a small claims court at the end of the month. They will not get away with this. AVOID

I recieved a contract but what was printed was not what I was told over the phone. I asked for clarification and sfter three attempts we got a correct contract. When over a week had passed and no new phone I called them and they appeared to heve never heard of me but after checking his computer they found my contract had been cancelled because they would not pay the cancellation fee that they had promised. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.....
