Now that humidity and temperatures are getting a bit high, I am starting to do my usual impression of a pig in a sauna (sweating like mad).

So how do you keep from being sticky all day?

Yeah, I shower 2/3 times a day, use loads of deodorant, wear clean clothes etc etc so none of "get a wash" thank you!

Fans don't help - either arctic temperatures or like an ant sneezing on you.

Cold drinks just make my stomach hurt, and spraying water on myself with a vapouriser means I can't sit down for 10 minutes.

And I can't take clothes off in the sun because they have not yet developed SF3000. I just burn, blister then go back to Daz white, even with SF30.

Help before I melt!

Keep very cold big bottles of water or even frozen and put them in front of the fan.

Bookie, currently sitting outside underneath the parasol waiting for the passing shower to, well, pass. :-D

When it's sunny and shiny, Bookie's happy, happy, happy! :-D *

* apart from the bloody Biggin Hill airshow destroying my peace this weekend.

Just before you go out, put your "T" shirt in the freezer for 5 mins. Feels lovely when you put it on with this heat.

Heatwave this week people. . .

Weird.

In Manchester city center (Picadilly Gardens) there is a water fountain. The other day, people were frolicking in the water - some fully clothed (office workers etc trying to cool down).

Yet today, it was raining a bit. And what happened? Nearly everyone ran for cover. Err.....
