the company i work for is trying to sell off the part of the company that i work in.we have been told that if a suitable buyer can be found my i would have to work for the new company if this is so then i will lose pension rights and holiday rights as i have worked for the company for over 10 yrs.can i be forced to change employers even though my original company will continue trading and if i have to move will i be due compensation.

You should be covered under the TUPE regulations. Read up on these.

Hi delboy,

heliosuk is correct you are protected under tupe regulations, pensions aren't directly transfered but your new pension must be comparable.
