If you have fallen behind with Grattan and they have been levying £12 charges, well, they have just kindly made it easier for you to reclaim those charges:

In the latest letters they have sent me, they say that:

A) You are obliged to make your payments on time.

B) We have the right to charge late payment penalties when an account falls into arrears.

Well, now they admit they're penalties, that should clear any misunderstanding. :-D

And the latest update to Grattan's misbehaviours:

they know have decided that each separate order made justifies a £12 penalty PER ORDER, so in one statement, they have just added about £84 worth of charges in one month!!!

I'd laugh if it wasn't so pathetic. :-|

Most amusing is that they state that "according to our contract", I am supposed to pay on time, etc... Erm... WHAT contract would that be then?

So nice letter on the way to point out, ever so politely, that I do not recall ever agreeing to those terms, but that I am sure they wouldn't wilfully deceive me, so could they please let me have a signed copy of said agreement, after which I will of course resume payments if it turns out that I had indeed agreed to those terms.

Anyway, a word of warning to all those out there with a Grattan account, and scrutinise your statements!!! ;-)
