Hi

I would like some advice on this issue from any one who may know.

Ordered a pair of hair straightners from Additions which arrived no problem, few days later they were faulty and I rang to return them. Not a problem with that but was told they would not replace only refund so I ordered another pair while on the phone (this was around 8pm on the 9th). The following Saturday I contacted them as no parcel had arrived to be told they were delivered on the 10th at 13:45 and signed for. I explained that no delivery had come to this address and they promised to look into it.

I have received the refund for the original damged goods but have now just received a letter saying they had confirmed delivery with parcel company and a signature. They will not reveal what this signature is to me but want me to provide proof of signature of everyone who is resident at my address (passport, credit card etc) to eliminate them.

This cannot be right, they wont show me the signature they hold but expect members of the household to send in private documents. What is the position, surely they need to prove delivery? Should delivery have only been to me anyway?

Any thoughts?

Thanks

No it's definately NOT right. Don't send them anyones signature unless you send them doctored signatures ie; signature that have been changed or added to in some way so as to differentiate between what is your genuine signature.

How did you pay for them?Credit card?

If so, in form credit card company of non-delivery and get them to instigate a chargeback.

The seller's contract is not completed until you have delivery of the goods. Ignore this nonsense from them about wanting everybody's signatures. Write back with a letter before action stating that you wish the goods to be delivered within 7 days or a full refund.

And stop dealing with them on the phone.
