I believe that you should follow the programme that is clearly laid down in this site. Look at the information posts (at top) for your next step.

You could accept their offer, but in no way as full or final settlement and merely as a partial payment towards the full amount as discussed in your LBA?

Follow the path set out on this site is great advice and the same note I was dropped after initially coming onto this forum. Sometimes it sticks a bit as you're probably keen to get on with your claim, but it is well worth your while. If you follow the instruction and stick to your deadlines, they will pay you in full what you're owed.

Remember one thing, knowledgte is power, and this website has all the knowledge available. Study other people's cases similar to yours and follow their diaries. All your questions will be answered here somewhere.

And bloody good luck, stick to your guns...

What I had happened to me they'd actually reimbursed me a bit back when I sent my 1st letter of complaint without actually asking or telling me. I sent them a letter saying thanx and wheres the rest? They responded with the 'our charges are fair speech' and I have now just filed my money claim. As they've asked you we'll give you this back just say thanx but no thanx as as Mark said follow the programme clearly just stick to the deadlines you set them the point is you give them 14 days to respond what they choose to say is another thing I think its 3 letters to send to them then file your claim

You leave it and wait to get a response from the defendant. Moneyclaim ARE the court service.

Ditto

The only time you should be speaking to them is to thank them for their settlement in full

Which should happen quite soon !!

Get The mc in as soon as the 14 days end

Don't talk to them over the phone, they will try to back you into a corner. If they telephone you, simply tell them that you do not wish to discuss personal details over the phone for security reasons and you wish to communicate in writing. Don't let these stalling tactics prevent you from sticking to your deadlines. As Cilitbanger said, you need to file that MCOL after the 14days and then sit back and wait for the money;)

Very best of luck (not that you need luck, the money is yours!)

You dont have to tell us, we already know what will happen next. Nat west will issue an acknowledgement of service about midnight before their deadline. Then a defence will arrive that will sound convincing but will be real tosh. The summons will be transferred to your local court and they will send you the Allocation Questionaire. You fill it in...its easy and send the court £100 because your claim is over £1500. 18 days after your AQ, Cobbets will send theirs back. Then the Court will tell you of a hearing date. Then, sometime before the hearing date you will receive a full repayment including the AQ fee. Its that straight forward. You might have to answer the odd request, but the answers are all here. Just keep going through as many threads as you can, instead of watching Eastenders etc and you will see it all happen to everyone else and then it happens to you....no worries.

Its WAR
