Hi all,

I recently sent off a Sar to Halifax with a £10 postal order..

I specificaly left it blank 'cause I wasn't sure who to make it payable to and didn't want it sent back because I'd written the wrong 'name' on it...

Anyway, in their infinite wisdom  they sent it back today because 'the payee details are incorrect'...

Could somebody please advise me what the correct payee name would be..

Is it 'Haliprat' or something else?

Seriously is it HBOS or what....

Thanks,

Spam. :-)

Looks like they can't write their own name, it's a joke eh !!

I'd put HBOS.

You could send them something like this (but I would'nt bother) :)

Dear Sirs

Thank you for your letter of (date), the contents of which are noted.

Regarding your comments "Unfortunately we return herewith your postal order in the sum of £10.00 as it has been made payable to the incorrect payee." the postal order (which I have once again enclosed) has been left blank. I would respectfully suggest that as I am unsure what name your organisation conducts it's business under, you write the name of your organisation on it rather than return it to me.

Regards.

Scott.

Good suggestion....the things they do to avoid a SAR ....the clocks still ticking though, all the time they're playing their games.. I have proof of when it was delivered and will hold them to those dates..;-)

Had a bit of a fume this morning... Got my CA request back for same reason....

Rang number on covering letter to have a rant and find out who to make it payable to... Nice lady didn't know!!!

Eventually rang the complaints dept ... ranted there for a while, and she contacted SAR team who said to make it payable to

HBOS Plc.

Lady also offered to put £5 into my account to cover postage and inconvenience for phone call etc.

Worth complaining.... thats another fiver off my overdraft!...wonder what else I can moan aboat. :D

Don't know if a MOD wants to put this info into 'contact details' thread and also the fact that all CA requests go to the SAR team as well, so to send them straight there.

Spam.:-)

Ah, I forgot the plc

What was the address, Spam :) The address for SAR is as shown on Sticky. DSAR Team, !0 Carlton Street, Halifax, HX1 2AL and that is the same address the CA requests end up at so they said send all CA requests there too. Just remember... DON'T SEND THEM A BLANK POSTAL ORDER.. IT WILL CONFUSE THEM... :p

Oh, you've not got a lend of a tenner have you :p;) When the postal order comes bouncing back I'll kick it straight over to you

Thanks for your input.
