I have had a flexaccount for some time and don't really use it therefore I dont have an o/d of any kind. However 4 months ago I decided to start using it to pay a couple of d/d but after a few weeks changed my mind. I cancelled the d/d and thought all was fine.

I am now eceiving 3-4 calls a day from an automated Nationwide number which I believe is their debt recovery office. Having checked my account online I am £230 over drawn due entirely to charges for the cancelled d/d.

This morning they sent a letter saying that I had 7 days to pay or they would issue a default.

Being an old charge reclaimer should I start the ball rolling with them on this, or because I haven't actually paid the charges is there a better way to make them wind their necks in.

  • 2 weeks later...

Recived a default notice yesterday, 1st July . Letter was dated 25th June and the notice gave me 14 days to clear the debt.

What should I do now ?
