Hello there, i'm new to the site and still wading through all the info here so sorry if my questions are a bit obvious, on a retail/business park i use the signage by the ppc has recently changed and i curious to know what if any are the implications are ?

The implication seems to be that if you parked there before and got a ticket, joined this forum, ignored the ticket (as is the right thing to do) and then go back to this private property car park again, you will find yourself clamped until you pay the old ticket, even if you are not overstaying this time.

 

The impliaction of that is to carry an invertor and an angle grinder when parking there to remove said clamp.

The clamping of a vehicle for a past outstanding charge would be illegal.

 

wheelergeezer's solution would appear to do the trick if necessary. :D

 

Particularly as they are specifically referring to it as a penalty on their signage, which makes the charge unlawful in the first instance.

MBNA - Agreed to refund £970 in full without conditions. Cheque received Sat 5th Aug.:D

Lloyds - Settled for an undisclosed sum.:D
