Hi All

 

Is there anyone out there who has managed to negotiate with Egg and get them to accept reduced payments but through writing letters?

 

I am in a mess with them and they only seem to want to 'help' if I call.

 

Is there an actual law somewhere or a clause in my agreement with them that says you have to call rather than write?

No you tell them how to contact you, the reason they like to call is that there is then no paper trail of conversations had.

 

also this stops them from alledgedly telling porkies

Only ever write to them.

Don't negotiate just tell them that's all they will get and all payments are strictly on the condition that all interest and charges are frozen.

Always works eventually.
