I have received a letter from Wescot on 20/05/09 re Greenwood Credit. I have no paper work on this? Cannot even remember getting a loan from them?

I then received another letter on 4/6/9 from Wescot, saying if I fail to reply immediately by 18th June (which I think is bad english!), then bad things will happen e.g ccj, bailiffs etc

Should I wright to them and request a copy of my original credit agreement from Greenwoods??

Anything else I should do?? Thanks for any help x x x

Hi there, you should most certainly write and ask them to "prove" you owe the debt. Use the CCA request letter in the templates library and adapt to suit.

Also, make sure you send by recorded delivery, keep a copy of the letter and receipt for posting, then check on the Royalmail website in a few days to print off the signature receipt - keep all safe together.

I would not waste £1 on this at the moment just write and state you no nothing of this alledged debt and that until they can provide proof that it exists and is in fact yours then they can whistle
