I am about to finish my undergraduate university degree and in September I am starting another separate degree. I have a summer job which I have held for the last 4 summers. My NUS card expires on 06/06/09, so officially I will no longer be classed as a student from this date until September, am I right?

As I will not officially be a student, will I have to pay income tax on my summer job?

When I first got this job, it was after I had finished my A-Levels and before I started university, so I was not a student then, and I definitely remember I didn't have to pay any tax then. Will it be the same now or will I have to pay income tax this summer?

Thanks for any help.

You are allowed to earn upto your personal allowance before you are liable for tax so you should be OK if it's just a summer job.
