private pension stopped

Yep i know this is the playground so feel free to move,

 

Does anyone know anything about private pensions, reason i ask is because up until

last month, my mum was recieving a small pension, which went to her after my dad

passed away at a lower amount, he had been getting this since he retired, is there a

time limit it runs for? i have looked for the paper work but so far no go.Any advise would be great peeps.

i think you may have to write to the company and ask for an explanation.

i feel pretty certain that your mother will have received some paperwork and not known what it was or something. my mother-in-law receives a small one and every so often gets notice of some change or other. i believe each plan is unique and you would need to know how long it was supposed to pay out. without that info you are batting blind. ring or write them.

Hi this is just an example from my private pension when my pension was being worked out I was given the following options

 

1, No pension for wife on my death

2, Half pension for wife for life

3, Half pension for wife for 5 years.

 

Which ever option I agreed to would effect the amount of pension to be paid per month.

An SAR works with any company Tilly just make sure you ask for a copy of the pension policy.

looks like i might have to sar them still no joy in finding any paperwork

only the one stating it is being stopped but no explanation
