Hi,

I applied for a night shift role with sainsburys over a month ago and was successful through interviews and trial shifts.

I received a signed contract stating my hourly rate and also weekly hours.

My Induction was scheduled for 10 April 09 however I received a call from sainsburys on 09 April saying my induction had been cancelled and would be rescheduled the following week.

After a month of calling I was finally told that all the new contracts had been cancelled.

I was wondering if I could claim any money due to loss of earnings as the contract issued to me led me to believe I had a secure job for 3 months.

any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

so there's nothing I can do about the fact they led me to believe I still had a job for a month whilst I could have been applying for other jobs and earning money?

You might consider writing a letter of complaint explaining what their delay has cost, may be they will make an a without prejudice payment its not likely but worth trying.
