I hope I'm posting this in the right forum, plz feel free to move it to the correct place.

The problem I've got is i bank with the Halifax and my card has been used fraudulently (card stopped and replaced) to the princely sum of £185 now I've let the bank know and its been passed onto the Halifax fraud team,i have contacted them to see how long this will take to sort out and how will i go about getting my money back, their reply were we are extremely busy we need to send a form to you to fill out.

What my query is has it happened to anyone else, how long do these things usually take or is there a time scale they have to abide by.

Also nothing has been mentioned about me getting my money back,is there anyway of sorting this.

All help is much appreciated

This happened to me back in Jan this year with Bank of Scotland.

They sent me a form with all the queried transactions on it and I had to tick a box to say if they were genuine/fraudulent.

The money was back into the account a few days later :)
