I've received a letter from Capital one offering me a goodwill gesture in regards to PPI mis-selling.

I'm happy with the amount offered, but I don't want it reduced from the oustanding balance on the account.

The account was sold last year to a dca, and is no longer with capital one. (I have the dca letter which states this).

I'd like to ask for it to be paid by cheque to me personally as they don't have the account anymore, do I stand a chance of this happening?

I haven't signed the agreement yet, but it does state it will reduce the balance.

thanks

you can try, point out the a/c is no longer theirs.

or is it? and the dca are swinging the bucket to make you pay them, when you don't need too?

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

hi

thanks for your reply.

Debt has been sold as I did an SAR to Capital one, and it states on there it is sold.

I'm going to try and ask - although I'm not optimistic of getting anything back!

thanks again x

how far away is the a/c from being cleared or can you make an f&f and get it settled?

if you could, then the money would be yours
