So, Garry R D Kettle must be the busiest employee at Halifax plc. It now turns out he handles the personal banking for all the customers at the Hereford and at least one branch of Halifax in Manchester. My wife, being a cynic thinks GARRY R D KETTLE might be an anagram. Any ideas ?

I have googled about a bit and discovered that the venerable Garry R D Kettle is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, and he is Manager, Personal Banking Services at Halifax plc. He probably has a big office at Halifax HQ. So it is obvious that there is no manual intervention with "his" letters, which every Branch computer system churns out automatically.

Oh :( And there was poor naive me admiring his work rate. I was going yo nominate him as Halifax Employee of the Year - and get Howard out of those adverts.
