Had a bad day hhmmmmm you aint kidding.

Im seating here typing this in tears as i feel the need to share it.

My dad bless him has been told that he has 2 weeks to live that is the top estimate.

He has been diagnosed with liver cancer he came home over the holiday period which was nice but id rather he stayed in hospital because in those 4 days he had not one visit from a nurse even though he was on the list for home visits.

Anyway yesterday i called an ambulance to get him back in as he was not eating and drinking and became really hydrated and in a lot of pain.

Now he wants to stay there and not come home because in his words he dont mum to see him like this sorry im crying my eyes out here he is so brave.

Guys i love him so much and there is nothing i can do as the cancer is now in his blood stream.

It is my mum and dads 50th aniversary on the 21st of this month i really want him to be alive for that my brothers and sister had a bash organised for them but we had to cancel it yesterday as he is now clearly not up to it so we all gona go upto the hospital instead if he is here of course.

My mum is so so upset i know but is putting on a brave face.

HE has really gone downhill in the last couple of days we have a meeting with the consultants and nursing team this friday to decide his best course of action and decide on a hospice cannot face up to that right now.

My dad really was a swell guy he did 27 years in the royal marines 42 commando we traveled the world with him i have great memories of those years he brought us all up fantasticly 4 brothers and 1 sister aswell as foster many many children they also fostered coloured children when there parents where in this country studying. and many of these kids still regard my mum and dad as there parents.

Anyway i got to be brave too for my dad.

Regards

PF:(

Dad i love you so much and im really sorry it has to come to an end.

PF I'm really really sorry to hear about your terrible news. There is nothing anyone can say to ease your pain. Spend as much time as you can in hospital and if you get the chance of moving him to a hospice do so. My father in law spent time in a hospice and it took alot of stress out of everything, especially at the end when they had compassion and procedures in place to help everyone.

Thank You Cymruambyth for your kind words the news was/is a bombshell i knew he was ill but i never thought for one minute he was this bad they took a blood test from him this morning and that was when they decided not to do the biopsy as there was no point as the cancer spread to his blood.

i understand we all go though these times but it hurts so much when it is you facing it.

I'm not sure where your court case is now but I'm sure you could have a stay.

My father in law had liver cancer and although it was terrible, at the end he was on morphine and just slept, so he was no longer in pain.

No matter how ill someone is, you never really expect to hear those words, and they always come as a terrible shock.

Hi PF, I am so so very sorry to hear yours news, it is nearly 20 years to the day that I lost my Dad to Cancer and it was indeed devastating, what I will say however, was that the hospice were brilliant, they are there for the family as well as the sufferer and it wasn't a depressing or maudlin place, but one of serenity and peace.

Good luck to you all.

Oh PF, I am so very sorry to hear this. That hospice looks truly lovely and I am sure your father will be well cared for. He obviously has a family who care for him deeply. You need to be strong for him now. {{}}

So sorry to hear this PF. Make the most of what time you have and don't be afraid to tell your Dad all those things that you never quite got round to saying while you still have the chance.

I lost my Dad 37 years ago (it would have been his birthday yesterday), but my Mum died in September so I understand some of what you're going through.

God bless you and your family.

Pompey.

So sorry to hear your news, its not like you havent had your own health problems to sort out recently either:(

All I can say is I helped my wife look after her mum two years ago, breast cancer returned as stomach cancer, they gave her three weeks to live. The two weeks spent in hospital were terrible and the staff just didnt seem to have the time or inclination to treat her with dignity.

She got moved into a hospice for the last week and the difference was like between night and day, the staff couldnt do enough not just for her but also for the family. It was a nice peaceful time and allowed the family to mourn the loss much better.

Stay strong for yourself and your family and put everything about the court case on the back burner, your father and mother are the priority now and NO judge or court in the land would begrudge you that.

These words are so so true PF,

I really don't mean to sound morbid but the words to a certain song really upset me (in a nice way:|) every time I hear it. My thoughts are with you and your family at this hard time.

Hi PF :)

Cherish the moments you have left with your dad and spend as much time as you can with him - he needs you more than ever now. It's at times like this when you realise how important family are. Supporting each other through something like this does make you stronger.

I do know what you are going through as Mr Bo's father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer seven weeks ago and finally lost the battle last week.

Megga big cyber (((((hugs)))))

Bo
