Hi,

just wondered if anyone knows how I can get a full refund for an item I bought off ebay that has gone wrong !

I bought a car cd player for daughter for xmas, I payed £220.00 for it brand new. She paid to get it installed in January 2009 and by March 2009 it had gone wrong, so she payed to get it removed !

Contacted original seller and arranged for them to collect it as they wanted to test it. They have since confirmed it is faulty but will only give me a refund of £154.00.

I dont think this is fair any help would be very appreciated !

Assuming this is a trader, you will not be entitled to a full refund as you have accepted the goods.

Your legal entitlement will be for a repair/replacement or prorata refund in that order.

It seems that the latter is being chosen, but the amount deducted for use seems excessive - it should be quite near the full amount. At least he actually offered something! I would ask on what basis that figure has been chosen and make it clear it is not acceptable.
