It gets VERY interesting from 45.00 onwards

Check this out.

A British Gas customer who changed suppliers continued to get bills and eventually got passed on to a DCA.

The customer took action for harassment against British Gas and won.

British Gas appealed - and lost.

Her barrister (James Purnell) says this now gives the green light (his words) for claims for harassment against OCs and DCAs for demands for payment which arent owed.

Not only that, one of the appeal court judges (LJ Sedley) said that in these cases, it shouldnt just be up to consumers with the balls to take legal action to enforce their rights, but Trading Standards should be prepared to act on consumers behalf.

So there you have it- case law from the High Court, upheld by three judges in the Court of Appeal

Go get 'em.
