I changed to EON from EDF. I have received no bill although they did read the meter. Today I received an urgent call regarding non payment of my bill - it turns out they have sent my bill to the wrong address. They want me to let them have the serial number of my meter to make sure they have the correct person. I know they have the correct person because I changed to them but they have sent the bill to the wrong address.

 

Where do I stand? On the principle that it is their fault they have sent the bill to the wrong address??

 

Obviously I will have to pay but I do not want to make things easy for them - I cannot pay if I do not have a bill.

They may have taken the wrong supply which is why they need you to confirm the serial number. How long has it been since you changed supplier and not had a bill for? If its 6 months for example then they will give you 6 months to pay.
