Financial Statement for DCA

Hi,

 

A DCA has asked me to fill out a financial statement by the end of this week, or court, etc. My concern is, they want my employment info. If they call my company and say 'this is bla bla DCA, does TBT work for you and earn £1.50 / month' my work life will be hell.

 

Can I add a covering letter baring them from contacting my work if I offer to provide proof of income? And would that work? Any advice?

There are suitable letters in the template library. But, give them no employment information or a financial statement. They have no right or business in knowing. The less they know about you and your finances, the better. They're weapons that can be used against yourself, so give them no ammunition.

They have no legal powers whatsoever

only a court can demand the disclosure of these details

So tell them to go and wistle dixie

They are entitled in law to nothing so give them the bare minimums if you wish, if you want to be able to show a judge you've attempted to solve this amicably then send them a very limited Income & expenditure list.

 

If they ask for proof of income send them an extremely heavily edited wageslip copy (i.e. blank everything except the total at the bottom:D)
