hi really glad i found this site and would appreciate any help on the below

 

sent a first letter to halifax requesting the cca

 

got this a reply recently saying i hadnt put a payee on the postal order? i was advised by a friend to put a postal order in with the letter (uncrossed) for a 1

 

i also wrote on the back that this was to be used for my cca case and not to be paid in

 

 

whats my next step please?

Sounds like a stalling tactic to me. Did they send the Postal order back to you?

Looks like you will have to resend it and start the clock again. (I know it's a pain but it's their way to try to get you to give up and go away.)

 

Put their company name on the PO, stick it back in and send off recorded delivery and don't sign the letter. Use a digital signature or just type it.

You could argue they have received the request and what they do with a postal order (cash it, send it back) is their problem as here:

In this instance i would say it would be useful to get the postal order cashed to cement the request, as it were for future proof against them, as you have had a different response to the link above.
