Humiliated former bank boss Sir Fred Goodwin has walked away with up to £1.5m more in his pension fund than previously thought.

The former head of Royal Bank of Scotland which will this week report a record £28bn loss for 2008, saw his fund boosted in his last year in office to give him a total of almost £10m.

Goodwin waived his right to a £1.2m payoff in lieu of salary when he quit last month and his pension fund was widely reported to be worth £8.4m.

It is a total disgrace that he should be remunerated so lavishly for his utter failings at the helm of RBS, and as MD he should instead be held personally accountable, with this reflected in all and any financial packages.

If however the terms of his settlement are so solid that they cannot be involuntarily changed, then I don't imagine he will voluntarily give it up.

...... however, he will probably have spend the bulk of his windfall on full facial reconstructive surgery, a name change, relocation to some closely guarded secret location, and a personal 24 hour entourage of bodyguards !!

My previous response was removed for being rather...ahem...angry.

My actual response to this is therefore on my blog at DJ K666's Journal

I make no apologies for either what I put up before, or what is now on My blog.

And I truly mean every word
