This is my first post on this website and I would be grateful for your opinions on my personal dilemma.

I have a halifax student current account with an agreed OD of £1,750. Back in 2005 / 2006 I amounted about £420 in charges for going over my agreed OD limit. I send a claim for unfair charges to Halifax and was offered a £300 'goodwill gesture' to settle.

Rather foolishly I accepted this amount and signed a document basically saying that was that and I wouldn't claim again. Did anyone else sign one of these?

Anyway more recently I have incurred charges of around £300 which I simply cannot afford to pay and everytime money comes into my account it is immediately eaten up by these stupid charges. I start work in 6 weeks in a pretty good job so hopefully no more charges again but I really want this money back.

Would I be able to claim again despite me signing this document? and be successful? How would I go about it? I sent a complaint letter but just got the standard reply about the OFT case.

Please let me know what I should do I'm completely stuck!
