Hello, I would appreciate some advice.

I have created a website for a friend who is a driving instructor.

T?his is a one off as I am no where near good enough to do it proffessionally (I wish....)

she has paid me money and I have given her a printed receipt.

Who do I need to contact about declaring it as although its only a small amount I don't want to get in trouble as may be doing another one soon.

Im not sure who you want to declare it to as you dont state but im guessing its the DWP. If it is and you really do want to declare it then simply ring your local office. They will take this info or give you a number to phone..

Unfortunately they will want to know who it was from, how many hours worked etc and generally be a pain in the rear.

If you work FT then just declare the extra money earned on the year end tax returns, but since its £100 i would be inclined to just accept the money as a gift... if you were talking many thousands then the matter would be differant....

All advice is given through own opition, also by seeking/searching info on behalf of poster, and own personnel dealings.
