Right firstly, We Ordered our second combo july 07, with approx 12 weeks lead time. This was comtinually put back until 2nd January 08 we collected the said van. With several minor issues and several visits to the dealer partially corrected ( this was a rear seat conversion supposedly dealer fit But by a contractor) then in march we started to have LPG issues with the said van as well as our second van an 06 model. We are now faced most of the time since with one or the other vans being at our local (not the supplying ) dealer awaiting parts. The 06 was in for 30 days from feb-mar for a new LPG fuel guage, followed by a few month break. Then the 08 developed a problem and wouldnt run on LPG so this then went in for 3 month's while waiting for a new wiring loom which was delivered incorrectly after 8 weeks before the correct one was supplied. During this time the 06 developed a rattle from the LPG tank (possibly to do with the new fuel guage) So on collection of the 08 van this was then swapped over. They have now had the 06 van since 2nd October.

We are now at the end of the line for these 2 vans of which both cost around £14k.

Where do we go from here? We feel the newer van 11 months old now with 16k miles needs to be returned where as the older van needs a refund of some sort.

I run an LPG car with no issues. You need to remember that with LPG very few if any VX dealers are equipped to cope with it. In fact Health and Safety put's the mockers on that.

Personally I'd ask Vauxhall to get permission to take to LPG registered specialist, give report and ask them to pay rectification bill.

Unfortunately, Manufacturers and LPG and Dealers do not go together.

Where in UK are you? Most manufacturer conversions are contracted out and it's these guys who have the know how.

LPG cars are not sent down the production line along with the others. It will be a petrol sent off to be converted!!

We totally understand that they are not made on the production line, Vauxhalls are converted by Milbrook. Who say vauxhall dealers are the repairers. Be it Vauxhall ONLY have one technician in the country (derby).

The systems used are useless and most with the Necam system suffer simalar problems along the line somewhere. All we want is a sensible outcome to the major issue. Parts supply by vauxhall. Anything we have needed has taken 15/16 weeks for the parts to arrive. One being a Standard Donut type tank. Which TBH we could have sourced ourselves in a matter of days but due to being a warranty claim we couldnt. Previous to that a service item filter took 3 month's.
