hi,

i know its abit last minute but have been really busy fighting a employment tribunal, i thought i'd better have a look to see what date the witness statement needed to be in and its by 4pm tomorrow, i'm going to email it to the solicitors so not worried about the post issue i'm just not sure what to put in it??

i guess i'd better give some info first, its a unsecured loan with Northern rock started paying reduced payments back in 2005, i suffered from real bad depression and anxiety (hence the tribunal) and asked for all correspondence to be by letter as i had a phobia of using the phone, i was advised to do this by national debt line.

i asked and asked and asked, and they phoned and phoned and phoned, my wife always answered the phone and they got really shirty with her after abit, but they used to phone at 9.30 on a sunday morning and then another 3/4 times that day.

i've already been to a case management meeting, and put a complaint in against their solicitor as he was trying to con me into dropping my defence by telling me i'd have expensive costs to pay.

i've got a rough idea what to put just needing some sound advice to set the mind at ease.

thanks

hey no problem thanks for your help anyway, i'll have a search round.

i found when doing the witness statement for the tribunal that even if you bring a slightly adjusted one on the day as long as you explain your reasons whyits changed there shouldnt be a problem.

thanks again. i'll let you know what i come up with

holy cr*p, well done at 4.05pm and it had to be in at 4pm, but considering i still dont have the claimants i'm doing better than them.

how does this sit now then??

because they have gone against an court order??

i'll edit my witness statement and attach it, just so if anyone else needs one to use as a rough draft.

i based mine on one in the won section, which was also against NR and was very simular.

well done russ. I dont know, I think it is a question of waiting now. From what I read in other threads, the claimants are notorious for submitting papers late .. and getting away with it

well i've been to court and dropped off a copy of my statement and stuck in a letter asking it to be put urgently before a judge, that they are only doing it to gain an unfair advantage. see if it works.
