Sent off CCA requests to a few of my creditors and the day they are due to me is approaching (Mon 17th).

This morning I get a letter from Moorcroft (Argos) to inform me that they have been in contact with Argos and I have to request my agreement from them instead, they have returned my quid PO.

Is this right or shall I ignore it and send the next stage of the process letter (acc in default) to Moorcroft on Tuesday ?

Moorcrock are conversing from their rear end.

The law is absolutely clear on this - if they don't have the paperwork, then it is THEIR responsibility to get it from the original creditor.

The fact remains that you have made a legitimate request, and they will soon be in default of it.

When the time limit expires, just send them the "Account In Dispute" letter.

You could, if you wanted to be helpful, add an extra paragraph yourself pointing out that they are mistaken, and quoting the relevant legislation.

It is not necessary to do this. They know the law, and if they choose not to comply with it, then that is their problem.

All opinions of ScabHunter are offered in good faith and believed to be accurate and true. Please note, though, that I have no legal training and am human like the rest of us (except the DCA trolls).

If you have received court papers, PLEASE POST EARLY. We can help, but only if we are within the timescales.

I am happy to receive PMs (and friendship requests!), but if you want me to look at your thread please leave a link to it.

If I have been helpful, please feel free to click the old scales!
