Hi all,

Wondered if anyone could give any advice really.

I've looked at my credit report and have noticed a default and outstanding debt for £101 for Hutchison 3G UK Ltd dated 02/10/2005.

Now I have no issue with the default statement because I did default from the contract. However, less than 3 months later I paid the debt off to Weston Credit services and also an additional £62.

What is the best course of action I can take as I am under the impression that I cleared the debt and am concerned about the outstanding balance.

As far as I am aware they will only put an S (settled) on your credit file. This record will then remain on your file for six years from the date of default. So although it is showing as settled the record is there for all to see that you have defaulted.
