If it is what would it mean to claims? :?

I know it's been mentioned that the OFT will set a limit on charges, if they do/have already will it mean we can only claim over that set limit? Say charges have been 30 and the limit is 15, could we only claim 50% of past charges? I have looked to see if it has been mentioned lately on here but can't see anything. The reason I ask is that I received an email from the customer advocate manager from A and L yesterday with this ps at the end

p.s. I trust you have seen that the OFT is going to set a fee cap at £15? Looks like you got a good deal in the end!

Please can we have a copy of this email - [email protected]

If you beleive that this alleged £15 is more than the real cost of bouncing the DD etc then you should still claim.

It will be interesting to see whether the banks will now claim that £15 is the real cost or whether they now say that their charges are in line with the OFT's recommendations.

My bet is that they will say the latter - which just about says it all, really.

I'm not too sure except it is an admission from A&L that their currecnt charges are not a good deal.

We've received it. Thanks
