Hi,

We had a Citroen car through Banque PSA Finance and just over 6 years ago they repossessed the car.

We have never heard anything from them since and in fact have moved several times since as well.

Today we receive a letter completely out of the blue from a company called Debt & Revenue Services stating their "Tracing Agents" have confirmed we live at the address and that they want payment of £8213.98 before they issue court action in the next 4-7 days.

There is no agreement number on the letter, just a client ref, there are no comments on the letter stating the debt has been transferred from Banque to them.

What should I do, i thought considering we had heard nothing for over 6 years since the repossession of the vehicle they could no longer attempt to recover the outstanding debt.

Does anyone have any advice on this ?

Cheers

i don't know much but as they reposessed your car how can they now ask for you to pay for it .I SMELL A RAT A DEAD ONE

if you have not made any payments for over 6 years then it is statute barred therfor the debt does not exist

someone with more know how will be along shortly i'm sure
