Has this happened to any one else?

Limit over £3000 only owed £160!! Received a letter today to say limit decreased to, wait for it!!! £260 from 1st September.

I had used it to pay daughters "House Removers" and it was declined!!!!

The inconvenience etc., it was the only card I was had on me at the time.I phoned them and they said apply for a limit increase in three months!! This was after being cut off once and being really rudely spoken to a second time. All they could say was well your Master Card has still a reasonable balance!!! I didn't have that with me.

Is this the Credit Crunch? What would have happened if I was abroad, or in a dire emergency, as it was it was bad enough.

I am so angry.

no this has been going on for months now if not more than a year

several posts on it too

if you dont use the card to its limit, they exercise their right to reduce it.

sadly they are in a way quite right as it stops people running up credit.

but the truth is, they ain't making enough money out of you through interest!!

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Reducing a credit limit seems counter productive if the customer isn't making them enough money. Unless they are hoping the lower limit will make the customer drift over it and be charged, it is surely better to have the larger limit available to tempt the customer
