Got a letter from Barclays this morning saying that the £25 charge is going to be increased to £30 at the end of this month.

Trying to get some more money in before the you-know-what hits the fan ?

Don\'t forget to ask for discount when buying car parts or getting your car serviced. Most garages are too embarresed to refuse !

Don't be so cynical. Don't you know how much the cost of paper, envelopes, laser printer cartridges and second class stamps has gone up in the past year! The bank is doing you a favour by not passing on the full cost inrease!

Aaaaaah. How stupid of me.

I've emailed them saying to keep my charges at £25.00 and I'll send them some paper (£2.50 for 2 packs at Morrisons).

I noticed BT have gone to paperless billing, how could Barclays justify £30.00 if they were to follow suit..........

I think that Andrex does about 8 packs for the same price. Perfumed too.

Most companies want you to go paperless....

Blah Blah Blah......something to do with the environment.

They are saving money though, why doesn't the customer benefit from this?

If I want, the bank can send me a letter telling me I have gone overdrawn by e-mail.

NOW WHERE ARE THE COSTS?

Regards

Just another 21 Banks to go......

Quite astonishing really when they know that they are on the eve of an OFT announcement.

Put them up and then negotiate with OFT to put them down to this months levels

This is worth a read, backs up the theory about raising and lowering.

I can't believe I've blindly accepted these charges for so long, I even built them into my budget last year !!!

BT do offer a discount I think if you go paperless.

This process brings into question a few 'charges' made by companies in general doesn't it. Makes you think.....
