Hi there, I am trying to claim over £1500 from Halifax (can't believe the thieving toe-rags!) and wondered whether it usually has to go legal with them? They keep upping their offer (from £120 to £220), which I refuse but when I speak with them, they tell me tha they have recently won some cases against charges- is this right??

No

Do not believe them !!

Carry on with the step by step intructions and you will get refunded.

They DO NOT WANT any court cases

These are unlawful charges......

hope this helps Bill

No, not to our knowledge they haven't.

Ask them about my case, for instance :-)

If you follow the proceedures shown in the FAQ section (step-by-step guide) and stick to the timetable shown, you will get your money back.

I'm afraid you probably will have to start a court claim at some stage, but there is very little to be concerned about - we've all done it, it's part of the 'game'.

Keep reading through the FAQ section

Best of luck
