Okay - here we go:

  • Think of a number between one and ten (the number of times a week that you would like to eat chocolate)
  • Multiply by two (being very bold in the chocolate eating stakes)
  • Add five (a special Sunday treat)
  • Multiply by fifty (thank all those Valentine's chocolate boxes)
  • If you have already had your birthday this year, then add 1755. If not, then add 1754
  • Now subtract the four digit year you were born minus 3 (e.g. 1963 = 1960)

You should have a three digit number by now...the first digit is the number of times a week that you would like to eat chocolate (your original number)

The next two numbers...your age! (Oh yes, women may be able to lie about the amount of chocolate that they eat, and also about their age...but there is now scientific and mathematical proof that the two are dependent upon each other...)

I tested it with all numbers between one and nine, and with all combinations applied if birthday has passed or not yet arrived:

18 calculations, 18 correct answers...ergo, some of you are either crape at maths, or else you are lying about your age...

LOL - what you really mean is that your age/chocolate consumption ratio is backed up by the scientific method...and proof positive that eating chocolate is a natural part of evolution...

Is this anyone's most interesting thread yet? There are lots of weird and wacky ones, but surely this one must strike that special chord for someone?

Is this anyone's most interesting thread yet?

No. The only interesting thing is how so many people managed to miss this part of the instructions:

Now subtract the four digit year you were born minus 3 (e.g. 1963 = 1960)

(... although I have no idea why you even did the 'minus 3' bit when in the previous line you could have just said to add on 1758 / 1757)

No :D

Is it plain chocolate though? You don't specify. If it's plain chocolate - then yes, it strikes a chord. If it's purely based upon crappie milk chocolate and twixes and crunchies, then no. ;)

What if you don't eat chocolate?

Well, I don't so I tried it using 0 as the first number. I ended up with a 2 digit number-which just happens to be my age. Very weird:eek: Bit like the old minding reading thingy from years ago-you know think of a number between 1 & 10, double it, add on half x by something or other & hey presto.

Excuse me!!! Did you ever try typing cr*p, and have it pass the CAG swear filter? I entered 'crape' because I knew 'crape' would bypass the filter...

If you wish for clarification of my spelling, grammar and punctuation skills, check a few of the bouts undertaken between Bookie and myself (but do give her the benefit of the doubt occasionanaly...she is French you know)
