On the 14th June I CCA'd NDR who were trying to collect a debt for Littlewoods (and pretending to be a seperate company~despite them being inhouse). On the 24th June I received a letter back from "Shop Direct Group Financial Services" in regards to the CCA request sending me a letter which basically said that they couldn't find the signed CCA but here you go have a blank one. Obviously I sent a letter back saying No thanks, and all the Consumer Law spiel. Then on the 2nd July I received a letter from "Littlewoods Shop Direct Group" which said

Dear Miss Berrylover,

Thank you for your recent letter addressed to Littlewoods. (hang on, didn't I not send the first CCA request to NDR and the second letter was to Shop Direct Group? I cannot ever remember sending a letter specifically to "Littlewoods")

Your complaint has been passed to a member of my team to investigate and you will be contacted again shortly. (No response since then, mind you)

In the meantime, should you have anything you wish to discuss in relation to your complaint, please contact us on 01204 529301. (Aye, right I shall be doing that then, NOT!)

Yours sincerely

Amanda Costello

Directors' Office Manager.

Now my question is this, Seeing that I originally CCA's NDR, and have received no response from NDR specifically, but have had responses from Shop Direct Group and Littlewoods, would I still need to CCA Littlewoods, and is the case still with NDR?

Until/If they produce a fully compliant CCA you have noting further to say to them and they know it.

Different names, but all part of the same company, so nothing to worry about.

Be VERY careful whose advice you listen too

Thanks for that CB, so do I now need to CCA Littlewoods too, or are they saying that they are dealing with the CCA request that I sent to NDR?

Nope you CCA is in play, who answers it is of no concern really, but until they do you can happily ignore their continued stupidity.

IF they make serious threats then we can hit em, but otherwise simply ignore them.

Just another quick thought, if I send a SAR to Littlelwoods, and they have charged me charges, can I claim them back, and what about if NDR have charged me charges too?

Hi berrylover,

Yes you can claim back the charges from Littlewoods

NDR/Littlewoods are one in the same

Send SAR to Littlewoods what they send you is reams of paper, and it will take a while to decipher it all, but if I can do it so can you.

Good luck

Hi Littlewoods are the pits when it comes to CCA requests they sent me a blank copy of an agreement and tried to say it was mine. I sent the no agreement no debt letter and they replied that as they were unable to find agreement they would not pursue, then they applied two defaults to the account. I complained to FOS and Littlewoods removed the first default within one week now approx three months later FOS are recommending that Littlewoods remove the second default as they cannot prove any agreement to default.

Ok, just another quick thought though,

(a) if NDR have added charges and I have paid their charges can I not claim them back

(b) if NDR (who have passed their CCA 12+2 date and are well into the 30 day rate) and they have added a default to my credit rating, can I get it removed?

Just a quick comment ... re:

01204 529301

That's a Bolton area number. Not their usual one. Likely their Thyne Street address, Bolton. But likely where your correspondence originated I'd think as that's their data officer's address. It's also where other creditors 'lurk' including Barclaycard for payments by cheque. As to their multiple names ... but same company. :D

Anyway, know you won't phone that number but for anyone else reading could be useful info.

I can confirm that it is their Thynne Street address on the letter. Don't know what difference that makes in all reality to the situation. Just a bit confusing that I send a letter to NDR, Shop Direct reply, I reply to Shop Direct and Littlewoods reply. If I didn't know better I would say its all in house :D

Hi when I was chasing Littlewoods/NDR I rang NDR and was passed to the lady dealing with my claim. She was at the next desk when I checked my letters she was the person who signed my letter from Littlewoods so NDR are just a desk in Littlewoods.

Apologies to Berrylover. Sorry. Yes, you can hit me with a few rocks, pillows, sticks, twigs. Sometimes I put my foot in my mouth by accident. :D

If it is a job requirement for DCA workers to have been the school bully in their formative years? Also do they have any friends, or are these the people who lurk in pubs on their own, giving everyone the evil eye?

As wierd as it sounds ... I was missing them ... well, for a week ... wonder how they'd respond if I told one of them I knew once the erm 'relative' of a major, erm, East End ... villain ... pretty much well publicized about ... purely as a friend mind. And I never knew til they told me in confidence.

Oh, dear ... bet they wouldn't want them knocking at their DCA doors. Oh, well, I keep meeting some 'interesting' people it seems.

PS Said the above purely in jest. Not to be taken seriously. :D :D
