I have been putting off claiming my unfair bank charges for a while as worried they would close my account and demand my overdraft to be paid.

However, I have just returned from travelling to find that they have closed my account due to going over my agreed overdraft limit and I have just had to pay the overdraft to an external debt management company.

So... I now no longer hold an account with them and have 2 questions..

1. Can I still claim even though I no longer have an account with them?

2. I am confused what is the current situation, is it to late to claim, are claims against banks still being made and are refunds still being given?

Many thanks in advance

1/ yes

2/ Not to late to claim, less claims are being paid out for now due to the test case but the cases that are on hold will be settled when the test case goes our way and any interest that is due. So dont delay start your claim.

Spend some time reading the http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/faqs-please-read-these/ and navigating the site.

Also check to see if the bank have defaulted you because if an amount of the default is made up of charges you have a good chance of having it removed as part of your claim.
