Last year a glass of lager in Bulgaria cost 1.50 leva, costing me the equivalent of around 50 pence at the prevailing exchange rate. This year the same lager cost the same = 1.50 leva but because exchange rates had shifted this was the equivalent of 75 pence. So it cost me 25 pence more but the bar owner still got the same amount; so who benefitted? Who got my 25 pence?
