I am yet another PCS sucker, my son parked his car in a pcs "controlled" carpark and put his permit on the dashboard - it was 6am on a dark, windy, winter's morning and presumably when he closed the car door, the permit flew onto the driver's side front floor and was clearly visible, as admitted by the clamp release operative, who said "Tough, the permit should have been on the dashboard." I went through the Claims-on-line route and ended up with bailiffs inability to get money from registered office scenario.

 

I found your excellent website by chance and would like to join the rapidly growing ranks of complainants of this 27 Gloucester Rd outfit. I cannot believe that this outfit can be operating within the law and having got the Small Claims to agree with this, with so many people affected and having amassed the detailed information below, could we not take a concerted legal case through the civil courts?

Hi, yeah I have had exactly the same problem as the post above. i now have a county court judgement and am wondering the next plan of attack.

 

Has anyone tried a third party debt order or know about these?

 

I'm not sure what the claims must be to take it to the civil courts but there seem to be enough people in similar situations that we mus be able to do something about it. I will try looking into civil court claims.

The latest filed accounts show assets of over £60k -is there no way of tracing these?

 

One of the above posts states that he operates his business from his garage and gives the address...

The reason that I asked about the Town/City associated with the address, wasn't anything to do with this thread.

 

I read the address on another website, and it rang a bell, because I'd read the same address on here, [or part of the address].

 

I won't go into the reasons of why I was looking at that other Website, except that the same address is used to sell Viagra, and other types of medication that help men with certain, ahem, problems!

Not sure how successful legal action will be. Many seem to have CCJ's and bailiffs warrants without much of a result. how about Watchdog or similar. I see on the website they are nervous about adverse publicity and some of their clients may not wish to be associated with this sort of operation.

I just got clamped yesterday. No signs visable from my car or within 20 metres.

 

I have sent an appeal but no I am worried I wont even get my money back. On the bright side a plain clothes police officer was also clamped due to not seeing the signs so fingers crossed.

 

I am happy to join any group action against these cowboys. I was just so frustrated. They tried to point out signs that were on the opposite side of the car park.

 

1.50 a min phone line and £205 release fee. Might aswell asked for my mobile and my wallet

Claim against the clamper AND the landowner for your money back. Did you get the name of the officer as you could have started your own mini "class action" from that.

Cheers, I will try the landowner. I have got the name and badge of the officer just in case I need it later on.

 

The clampers were out in force today. They even watched someone drive in (albeit in a disable zone) didn't warn them, waited for them to go in the shop and then clamped them! Classic

I believe Clamping a vehicle displaying a disabled badge is illegal whether on public or private land.

Sorry for any confusion, this bloke wasn't disabled, he just used the space so technically did deserve clamping but watching him do it and not warn him was a bit too much

Disabled bay markings on private car parks have no lawful validity anyway; so technically, there were no grounds to clamp.

Hi,

 

I am hoping that I can get some advice. I was borrowing a friend's car today and she has received a parking ticket from Parking Control Services (not Parking Control Services Ltd) for £75 if settled in 14 days or £150 after otherwise they will revoke her driving license? This seems very unjust to me, and reading the thread not enforceable in any way.

 

I have tried suggesting that she can dispute this stating that she was not the driver of the car that day, as these tickets are against the driver and not the owner - however this has understandably shaken her a bit and she is very keen that I pay this asap - can anyone advise? - this was in the Bournemouth area.
