Hi there

I have a problem with the above companys

I bought a camcorder from ebay, and with paypal. Both of us left possitive feedback for each other and i thought that everything was good.

I took the camcorder out of the box, and charged it up and it didnt work. I emailed the seller, but received nothing. So i waited a few days and emailed again. Still no responce. So i took the camcorder to a repair shop, to be told that it's as dead as a brick and it would be cheaper to buy a new one.

I paid with credit card, NBNA. What can i do? paypal chargeback has failed as the seller proved they delivered as they sent it special delivery and the seller isnt caring. Ive edited the feedback by adding that the item does not work but i dont know what else i can do.

Paypal wont help, and nor will ebay.

You need to start a DISPUTE via logging in to paypal as the item is not as described - paypal will then place a hold on the seller's account until it is rectified.

Also you should do the same on ebay, you have about 45 days after auction end to do so.

Paypal & Ebay (both the same company!!) are a law un to themselves, and have been ripping decent people off for far too long and still getting away with it.

Hope this my help in some way,

Kindest Regards

Lisa X

It sounds as though the OP has already submitted a "not received" dispute - in which case you can't submit as not as described dispute.

As you paid with a credit card, your card issuer should be able to start a chargeback (which is different from a PayPal dispute) and may be able to get the money back.
