Can anyone point me in the direction of the appropriate letter template?

I have been given a ticket for not displaying a ticket, when in fact I did buy one and put it on the dash. When the door shut it must have fallen off. I have the ticket here with the time that I bought it. Will be more careful next time.

I have looked through the forum but can't find it...cheers! ;)

There is no template for Council appeals since there is no standard defence. In your case the contravention is 'not clearly displaying a valid ticket' so technically you are 'guilty' so to speak. I would write a polite letter stating that you had paid and that the ticket must have moved not forgetting to enclose a copy of the ticket. If the Council is unreasonable and rejects your informal appeal come back online and maybe we can find something else to use as an appeal to the adjudicator.
