I don't have a cheque book. Can I send them a cheque in my g/f's name? What about a postal order? What about requesting that they debit the amount from my account with them?

TIA.

PO is probably best - or take a £10 into the branch. best of all. No fee.

Ok, I'll do it with postal orders then as they don't have any branches.

1. Do I send the paymwent with the the DPA letter that is in the library section, as it does not mention the fee. i.e do i send it only when they reply stating there is a fee, or do i send it without them asking for the fee?

2. My overdraft facility has varied over the time that I have my account. Can I request in my letter that they include a breakdown of when changes to my overdraft limit occured?

Send it with the fee and refer to the fee.

You can request any info you want.

And as long as it is in one and the same letter it is therefore one request, and only one fee (i.e they're not going to try and charge me for my statement, my charges, my overdraft info all seperatley are they?)?

Last question before I send the letter, I promise!

No - one data request.

Cheers Boss.

Now just have to wait until I can afford to make the request. :( :(

I think I'll deal with First Direct first as they "owe me" the most (probably about £1k-£1.5k), then it'll be Halifax Bank accounts (probably about £250), then Halifax Visa Card (probably less than £100, then Egg (about £60.00 I think).

p.s if you need any files mirrored or any help with hosting, drop me a pm.
