Imperial Solutions chaing car finance 'debt' after repo

I wonder if anyone can help me.

 

 

My car was repossesed and then sold at auction.

 

 

My original debt with the bank was for £3744.28.

 

 

The car was sold for £1784.56.

 

 

I only found out this information when I called the bank after recieving a NOTICE OF LEGAL PROCEEDINGS

 

 

this is not a court document (in smaller font underneath).

 

 

Imp S are demanding £1,959.72 from me.

 

 

The bank told me that, as they do not sell debts on nowadays that they've passed it on to Imp S

and if they don't get anywhere they take the debt back.

 

 

I recieved a statement today from the bank which shows they have paid back the costs and charges into the debt

which leaves a balance of £1108.18 and

 

 

on the bottom line of the statement it shows a balance of zero

and says that the 1108.08 as Bad Debt W/O ?

 

 

To me that means that it has been written of?

 

 

If not, and they've sold the debt on why have they sold on £1959

(which is the debt with the additional charges and costs included) and not the £1108

- which is the balance with the costs removed?

 

 

Does anyone have any advice what to do as I'm stuck???

If it states W/O then either they have really written it off, well done

 

Or more likely they have sold it to Imp Solutions who have added the extra charges for the extra work they have had to do like sending you a quasi legal document.

 

If imp Solutions have not contacted you since you have written to the bank I would personally wait to see what other B*llSh*t they come up with, I would say have a look at the website but it is simply a page with an address and email on, obviously a well to do outfit!!

No its probably not but they probably rely on consumer ignorance, which until sites like this came into being, was a good bet
