I have just printed off my first letter with a few alterations. I know I need to send it to Alliance and Leicester but do I put a name on the envelope or just post it to the company? Also we have an Alliance and Leicester credit card, would we send that letter to Alliance and Leicester or MBNA?

Do Alliance and Leicester go as far as court or do they pay up easily? I am expecting a long drawn out process!

I have looked all over and can't find the answers!

Thankyou

if sending to the branch put FAO then the name of staff, otherwise they just get forwarded to a central department.

Send it to the branch recorded delivery or take it in and get the name of the person who receives it from youi.

After that, if they throw it in the bin it's their problem. You move on to the next step.

On the way you gather a nice pile of unanswered letters in your file which looks very good for you to the court and makes them look positively unhelpful and obstructive.

It was opened as an account with no branch apparently. There is an address on statements for bootle, should I just send it there recorded delivery?

All very confusing!

I did ask for a list of charges via email the other day but I got a reply from a and l giving me a name of a bloke to write to for a list of charges. I have used a letter now from on here and adapted it asking for payment in 7 days etc, would I just send that letter to the same man?

yes - send it to the person they told you recorded. That way, they are completely respnsible for any communication breakdown. keep the email they sent you - which means print it out and file it now.

I'm going to move this thread to Other Institutions

The address on my Monument statements is a PO box. Is this wher I send my original request for refund of bank charges.

Overdone,

Monument is owned by Barclays Bank Plc, so their Head Office addess is required. See the Barclays Forum!

You need to start your own thread there so that this thread is not hijacked!
