hi to all this is my first thread after reading lots of other peoples threads i decided that maybe i should try for myself so isent the first letter out the dpa for bank statements ,i was sent a standard reply saying that they are not obligated to keep records of any manual handling activities a few days later they sent me my statements worked out that they have charged me £1665 (and rising).

so now i have sent the next letter giving them 14 days to reply ,they sent me a reply yesterday (13 days ).

dear sir

thank you for your letter of 21st june 2006 regarding the charges applied to your bank account . i was sorry to learn you are unhappy with us.

we are keen to deal with your concerns asap and have therefore passed your complaint onto our customer relations dept to review further they will contact you directly in due course

you will find enclosed a copy of our complaints leaflet. this tells you how we will handle your complaint . if you need to speak to someone in the meantime please phone customer relations on 08457 25 35 19.

my question is this do i send the final letter giving them another 14 days b4 i start court precedings or do i phone their customer relations or do i do both ?

Just keep to the original timetable as laid out in your prelim letter. The only time to accelerate the process is if the make a derisory offer which you accept as partial and they withdraw. At that point go straight to the next stage.

Well done - just stick with it and it will come back to you in the end. Have you sorted out a parachute account yet?
