Firstly, what a forum. If I understood even half of what was talked about on here, I think I would be some sort of genius!!

Anyway, enough of the fawning:D

I'm here because my wife recieved a letter this morning from Charles Anderson regarding Council Tax arrears. The arrears aren't in dispute, but due to circumstance, we haven't been in a position to clear these and they now amount to £2934.76.

However, this letter is a mandate looking to arrest £1454.06 held in trust for our 2 kids. This is an accumulation of birthday and Christmas money and money that their Grandpa pays in for their futures.

We've tried phoning Charles Anderson, they were, as always, very unhelpful and tried the Council to see if they could call them off. We are in a position where we could maybe clear about 25% of the debt and then make arrangements to clear the rest over time, but basically what I'm asking is this - Is there any way we can get them to get their grubby mitts off our kids futures??

Any advice gratefully accepted.
