Just received my SAR from GE Money. About to write my first letter asking for my charges back. Firstly I have only received some of the statements and am missing a large chunck of them, what should i do about that. Do I assume I was charged in those months as well or just claim for the statements I do have?

Also I havent seen many recent sucesses against GE money, has there been any and is it staright forward with them or do they go all the way to court??

Any info appreciated.

1 - Contact them and tell them they haven't complied with your SAR and that you expect them to comply fully or you'll report them to the ICO.

2 - GE Money are quite easy to crack once you have the info, they seem to try and put people off at info level rather than at later stages. I can't remember now if you'll need to file claim or if they'll cave in before, but no, they don't go to court.

GE Money normally cave in very early on unless you are trying something 'out of the ordinary' like claiming contractual interest or claiming beyond 6 years - then they dig their heels in (a bit :D)

Hi

I just about to claim for PPI payments on my GE Money Debenhams card. Took the card out on 1995 , so an old one. Have just received my statements from 2002 till now but still waiting for credit agreement.

Was self employed at time of being sold PPI and was not given all the facts about it.

What do you think is the likely hood of easy settlement from GE or is this going to be a battle?

Thanks Breeze2

Hi Breeze

GE Money are usually one of the easiest and settle quite quickly except if you are doing something out of the ordinary. You have a good case for having been mis-sold PPI, so go for it.

Start your own thread though so advice to you doesn't get muddled with nicho's (to start a thread click on newthread.gif in the forum)
