Hi all,

I have around 25 grand worth of debt from credit cards and a loan i took out to help pay off the credit cards. I stopped paying all these debts at some point in 2002/2003. I was going through a really rough time emotionally dealing with the loss of a brother, and then a girlfriend, and then my job... it was a ****ty few years. When I realised that I couldnt pay the debts anymore I decided to stop paying rather than worry myself into an early grave.

My problem is (apart from youthful stupidity with credit) that I would like to know exactly when I stopped paying the debts and if these debts are now statute bound. Is there any way I can find this out without acknowledging to the credit agencies that I owe them pennies?

Its quite important as I'm a student on less than 400 quid a month and I dont think I could manage financially, or academically, with the stress of being suddenly forced into bankruptcy at the hands of CapQuest.

ta muchly.

Hi,

I think the only way you will find out all the info your looking for is by sending them all a SAR.

http://www.ico.gov.uk/upload/documents/library/data_protection/practical_application/subject_access_-_guide_for_data_subjects.pdf

Or send letter N from the Templates Library(CCA request)

Hopefully someone else will give you a bit more guidance.

Regards.

Scott.
