Hi

I have a natwest current account which is at the limit of its overdraft facility (£950)

My question is would it be prudent to proceed with a claim for repayment of charges given the leverage that this gives the bank over little old me?

TIA

Harry

THEY'VE HAD PLENTY!!! It's just that I don't want them to default on me or close the account or whatever. Do you know whether this is likely to be a strategy they might adopt to scare me off and if so would I be better off clearing the overdraft. Naturally I'd rather let them do it for me by repaying all the money they've scammed off me over the last 6 years

You would certianly be better off taking that power from them by clearing your OD. However, do also be aware that the 6years is a moving conveyor belt and so you could also be losing the right to claim some of the older charges.
